Pune: Veteran social activist Anna Hazare has strongly reacted to a banner in Pune that urged him to “wake up.” Hazare, who recently turned 90, said such criticism is misplaced, stressing that he has dedicated his entire life to public service.
“At this age, I am still working for society. Those who ask me to wake up should first look at what they themselves are doing,” Hazare remarked.
He also condemned the misuse of his name and image for political agendas, clarifying that while he no longer leads large-scale movements, he continues to contribute through social and community work.
