Mumbai : Vasai-Virar, Public transport services in Vasai-Virar have come to a standstill as MSRTC employees, including drivers and conductors, launched a protest over unpaid salaries. The agitation, which began just days before the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, has severely impacted daily commuters and devotees preparing for the festival.

The Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation’s bus service has also been suspended, leaving thousands of passengers stranded. Workers allege that despite repeated assurances, their salaries for the past several months have not been credited, forcing them to resort to a strike.

Residents expressed frustration over the disruption, especially with the festive season around the corner, as many rely on bus services for essential travel. Officials are yet to announce any resolution to the ongoing standoff.
