Mumbai :- In a landmark citizen-centric initiative, Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti has launched a weekly ‘Janata Darbar’ to directly hear and resolve public grievances.
The first session of the outreach program was held on August 5, where Bharti personally interacted with several citizens and ensured immediate action on many complaints.
The ‘Janata Darbar’ will now be held every Tuesday and is open to all residents without the need for prior appointment. Citizens can walk in and voice their concerns directly to the top cop.
The initiative, introduced just three months after Bharti took charge on May 1, 2025, aims to enhance public trust, improve police transparency, and strengthen the bond between law enforcement and the community.
