Mumbai : In a remarkable achievement, the G (South) Division Office of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has been re-awarded the prestigious Golden Certificate by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). This recognition comes under the Green Existing Building Rating System for the office’s outstanding efforts in promoting sustainability and eco-friendly practices.
The division excelled in several areas including renewable energy usage, water conservation, waste recycling, energy efficiency, sustainable waste management, and maintaining a healthy work environment.
This achievement reflects the vision and directives of BMC Commissioner and Administrator Mr. Bhushan Gagarani and the continued guidance of Additional Municipal Commissioner (City) Dr. (Mrs.) Ashwini Joshi.
The award was presented in recognition of the dedicated efforts led by Assistant Commissioner Smt. Swapnaja Kshirsagar, along with the collective contributions of departmental officers and staff over time.
