Mumbai: Acting on the directives of BMC’s Additional Municipal Commissioner (City) Dr. (Mrs.) Ashwini Joshi and under the supervision of Assistant Municipal Commissioner (G/South) Mrs. Swapnaja Kshirsagar, a joint enforcement operation was conducted today at Kamla Mills, Lower Parel.
The Public Health Department seized two establishments — Bira Taproom and Food by Devika — for breaching license conditions. Furthermore, illegal compound walls built for parking in front of BKT House, along with unauthorized sheds and enclosures constructed by the same establishments in open spaces, were demolished.
The coordinated action involved officials and personnel from the Mumbai Fire Brigade, Building and Factory Department, Health Department, Encroachment Removal Department, and Maintenance Department.
The drive underscores the BMC’s continued efforts to uphold urban regulations and reclaim public spaces.
