Pune : In a high-profile police raid, the Pune Crime Branch busted a rave party in Kharadi on Saturday night, arresting seven people, including Dr. Pranjal Khewalkar, the son-in-law of former Maharashtra minister Eknath Khadse.

During the raid, police seized cocaine, marijuana, hookahs, and alcohol from the luxury flat where the party was held. According to reports, such parties were organized regularly, reflecting a lavish lifestyle among the attendees.

Eknath Khadse, a senior NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) leader, said he would not protect his son-in-law if he is guilty but condemned any political targeting. He also raised concerns over private medical reports and photos being leaked during the investigation.

The case has sparked political debate, with some alleging the raid may have been influenced by recent political tensions involving Khadse.

Police continue to investigate the source of the drugs and the connections of those involved.
