Mumbai : While Saiyaara is currently setting the box office on fire, crossing the ₹250 crore mark in just 11 days, an interesting revelation has come to light. The romantic drama, starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Anit Padda, has become one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. Their on-screen chemistry has been widely praised by audiences and critics alike.
Directed by Mohit Suri, Saiyaara has captivated viewers with its fresh pairing and soul-stirring soundtrack. However, not many know that Ahaan and Anit were not the filmmakers’ original choice for the lead roles.
According to a recent report, the producers initially wanted real-life celebrity couple Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani to star in the film. The duo had already won hearts with their memorable performance in Shershaah, which was also a major box office success. The filmmakers approached them before finalizing the current cast, but things didn’t materialize.
Eventually, the roles went to Ahaan and Anit, whose breakthrough debut has now rewritten the narrative and cemented their place in the industry with a dream launch.
