Vasai : The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday morning raided the official bungalow of Anilkumar Pawar, the former Commissioner of Vasai Virar City Municipal Corporation (VVCMC), in connection with widespread illegal constructions in the region.
The action comes just a day after Pawar’s transfer and is linked to alleged large-scale corruption during his tenure. The ED suspects civic officials allowed unauthorized buildings to flourish in Vasai-Virar under Pawar’s watch.
