Mumbai:- The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has installed and activated a total of 236 CCTV cameras on the Dharmveer Swarajyarakshak Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Mumbai Coastal Road to enhance road safety and traffic management.
The advanced surveillance system includes Video Incident Detection Cameras, PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) Cameras, Automatic Traffic Counter and Classifier (ATCC) Cameras, and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) Cameras.
This move comes in response to multiple complaints from local residents about overspeeding, car racing, and noise violations. With this new technology, the BMC and Mumbai Traffic Police aim to strictly monitor and control such unlawful activities.
Authorities have urged all motorists to adhere to traffic rules and cooperate in maintaining safety on the newly constructed coastal road.
