Online Payment Failure at Mahim Railway Station Causes Chaos; Long Queues, Only One Ticket Counter Functional

Mumbai : A chaotic scene unfolded at Mumbai’s Mahim Railway Station on Monday morning after the online payment system for ticket booking went down, leaving passengers frustrated and stranded for hours.

Despite the station having four ticket counters, only one was operational, forcing all passengers to rely solely on offline ticket purchases. This led to long queues and significant delays, especially affecting women, school-going children, office commuters, and others with urgent travel needs.
Commuters expressed anger over the lack of preparedness by railway authorities, accusing them of negligence during peak morning hours in one of the country’s busiest cities.
Passengers have demanded immediate resolution of technical glitches and urged the administration to open all ticket counters to ensure smooth service and prevent such disruptions in the future.
